Introduction
Crystal grids are an incredibly powerful energy tool used to manifest aspirations, desires, goals and intentions, by placing multiple crystals upon a sacred geometry pattern (grid), to help you work towards a common goal.
Whether you’re trying to manifest abundance, more self-love, healing, balance or even work related, crystal grids can help to achieve it. Crystal grids can be as simple or complex as you make them, and a simple grid can be just as powerful at helping you to manifest your goals as a more complex one.
The stones and crystals used in conjunction with the crystal grid, creates a special union of energies of each item used, amplifying their intended purpose.
There are just a few necessary steps you need to follow to create a crystal grid.
Setting an Intention
The very first place we need to start is what is your intention for the grid. Your intention for your grid will lay the foundation for everything else you choose for your grid. You may like to write this down on a piece of paper and place it under the centre stone in your grid. Common intentions that people use for crystal grids are for abundance, healing and protection & well-being. Try to be specific while keeping your note to a minimum to fit under your stone.
Selecting Your Crystals
Let’s select your crystals. A pointed crystal will work well for the centre stone, and tumbled crystals work well for the secondary crystals that will radiate around the centre stone. You don’t need heaps of crystals to have a grid that works. Even if you have one centre stone and a handful of quartz, you can make an effective crystal grid. Clear quartz is the master crystal for your grid because it is ideal for all intentions, it’s easily programmable, and a very powerful amplifier. Keep in mind the properties of the crystals and how they work with your intention but in saying so, trust your intuition and work with what feels right for you. I would recommend using three different stones to strengthen your intention with the addition some pieces of clear quartz.
Here are some common crystals and the purposes they’re best suited for:
- Amethyst: Intuition, calm, peace
- Citrine: Abundance, joy, happiness
- Sodalite: Creativity, expression, communication
- Quartz: Balance, health, cleansing
- Rose Quartz: Self-love, compassion, friendship
- Carnelian: Sex, creativity, birth
- Green Aventurine: New beginnings, wealth, growth
Cleansing Your Tools and Space
It’s important to cleanse your crystals, any other tools you’ll be using, and the space you’re creating your grid in. You don’t want any negativity or bad juju playing a role in your manifesting! You can a sage smudge stick or palo santo, crystal or Tibetan singing bowls, incense, Reiki, placing them in the moonlight during a full moon, or envision a bright white light cleansing your space and tools.
Setting Your Grid Up
Now that you’ve cleansed your tool, crystals and space you are now ready to set up your grid. Place the piece of paper you wrote your intentions down on in the centre of your space, while doing this, either in your mind or aloud, say what your intentions are. You’ll want to place your centre stone first. Next, place your other stones radiating out around the centre stone in a balanced format. As you place each stone visualize your end goal of what you’d like to manifest.
Activating Your Grid
The final step, activating your grid. There’s more than one way to activate your grid. The simplest method is to close your eyes and imagine the energy of all of your crystal connecting and communicating your desires to the universe. I personally like to use a clear quartz wand. You just go around the grid like your kind of like you are drawing an invisible line to connect one crystal to another with the tip of your activator. It’s also nice to meditate with your crystal grid when you are finished setting it up.
Don’t just set it and forget it! Make sure to take a few quiet moments every day to connect with your grid. Connecting with your grid daily will allow you to visualize your desires and goals.
You can leave your grid up for as long as you wish from a couple of days to whenever you feel it has worked for you. Leave your grid up for a complete moon cycle, or longer if you’d like. If it does start to attract dust give it a light clean to prevent the energy from stagnating.
